Sterisept Ready to Use has a broad bactericidal effect (including MRSA, VRE), mycobactericidal effect (including Mycobacterium avium and Mycobacterium terrae), fungicidal and anti-fungal effect, as well as an effect against viruses (including HBV, HIV, HCV, Vaccinia, Rota, Noro) and spores (including Clostridium difficile).
PRECAUTIONS: The substance is corrosive to eyes, skin, and mucous membranes. It can cause sensitization (allergies) if inhaled or in contact with skin. When working with the substance, wear rubber gloves and eye or face protection. In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with running water; seek medical attention if necessary. In case of ingestion, drink plenty of water and seek medical attention. Keep out of reach of children.
Sterisept Instru is intended for manual cleaning and disinfection (decontamination) of all thermostable and thermolabile medical instruments. Sterisept Instru combines cleaning and disinfection, making it a complete solution for manual treatment of medical devices such as surgical and dental instruments and rigid endoscopes. It can also be used for final disinfection of non-critical medical devices. The product is intended for professional use.
Sterisept Instru has a broad microbiological efficacy: bactericidal (including MRSA, VRE), mycobactericidal (including Mycobacterium avium and Mycobacterium terrae), fungicidal and against yeasts. The product is also effective against viruses (including HBV, HIV, HCV, vaccinia virus and rotaviruses) and spores (including Clostridium difficile).
Due to specially selected active and surface-active substances, it has good material compatibility and good cleaning properties. Sterisept Instru effectively removes blood, proteins, secretions and fats from medical instruments. Short contact times and low concentrations allow for economical use.
AREAS OF USE:
Sterisept Instru is suitable for use in hospitals, laboratories, dental clinics and other healthcare institutions, as well as cosmetic institutions.
It is used for manual disinfection and manual cleaning before sterilization of thermostable and thermolabile medical instruments and laboratory equipment such as rigid endoscopes, bronchoscopes, laryngoscopes, biopsy instruments, tubes, kidney dishes, bedpans, tweezers, scissors, dental instruments, auxiliary equipment, etc.
Sterisept Instru is also suitable for use in ultrasonic baths.
It has good compatibility with instrument materials made of stainless steel, glass, aluminum, ceramics, hard rubber and hard plastics.
Sterisept Instru is a concentrate. The dosage depends on the required efficacy (see table).
Disinfection and cleaning by immersion in a working solution bath:
Sterisept Instru is concentrated. Prepare the working solution by diluting the required concentration
with water (room temperature). For example, dilute 5 ml of Sterisept Instru to 1 L of tap water
to obtain a 0.5% working solution.
Immediately after use, disassemble instruments as much as possible and immerse them in the Sterisept Instru working solution. If necessary, clean them mechanically. Ensure that all surfaces are completely
covered with the solution and prevent bubble formation. After the recommended exposure time, thoroughly
rinse all instruments under running water, the quality of which is at least that of drinking water.
Disinfection and cleaning in an ultrasonic bath:
Sterisept Instru can also be used in all stainless steel ultrasonic baths. Observe the contact time specified by the instrument manufacturer and do not heat the working solution.
Always follow the treatment instructions provided by the instrument manufacturer.
The ready-to-use working solution is effective for 14 days, but change the used solution
immediately if it is visibly contaminated. Store it in closed containers at room temperature.
Caution – Sterisept Instru must not be used together with aldehyde-based preparations, therefore
avoid using products containing aldehydes before and after disinfecting with Sterisept Instru.
