If you were to ask me what one of the biggest misconceptions among salon owners is, I would answer without hesitation: that you can prepare for an inspection just before the inspector's visit.
Imagine the following situation. The salon is full, the nail drill is working, a customer is waiting, and you are completely focused on your work. Then the door opens, and an inspector enters the salon.
At that moment, there's no time to search for documents, complete records, or check if everything is in order.
The truth is quite simple. The inspector does not assess how well you prepared the last time you heard that they visited the neighboring salon. They primarily assess how your salon operates every day. And believe me, they quickly notice the difference between an organized salon with a good system in place and which implements it, and a salon that only does certain things for inspections.
When I was preparing the Stress-Free Inspection handbook, I reviewed a lot of legislation, recommendations, and, of course, I also considered examples from practice. From my practice and the practice of all the students who visited me and with whom I am still in contact. I found that regardless of the size of the salon, the same basic mistakes are always repeated.
Many salons have one price list in one place, different prices on the website, and a third set of prices in the booking system.
The same applies to the general terms and conditions of business. If they are not properly published and accessible to customers, the customer is not obliged to comply with them.
Gift vouchers seem simple until you delve into the legislation.
It is in this area that I observe many incorrect practices. Many salons do not even know the difference between different types of gift vouchers, so they manage or sell them incorrectly, which can mean completely unnecessary costs for the company and non-compliance with the legislation.
This is a mistake I see very often.
Records are not intended to be filled in retroactively or even a few days in advance so that you don't have work every day. Their purpose is to prove that the salon operates in an organized manner every day.
When I talk to salon owners, I often find that they think the cosmetics sector is overseen by only two inspectorates – FURS and the Health Inspectorate.
In reality, the operation of a salon is checked by several different inspections, each checking its own area. Therefore, it is not enough to have only one part of the documentation in order. It is important to have a system in place.
When I started gathering all the requirements in one place, I quickly realized that most of the information was not written in a way that a salon owner could quickly understand and apply in practice.
The e-handbook Stress-Free Inspection is exactly what you've been looking for.
It was not created to scare anyone with inspections, but to save you hours of searching for information, unclear explanations of legislation, and unnecessary stress.
Why waste precious time reading complex laws and guessing if everything is properly arranged? In the handbook, you will find a clear overview of all 7 inspection folders, concrete practical advice, and ready-made checklists for a quick overview.
Ensure your salon is ready for every visit – every day of the year.
